Khajaque is a highly regarded intellectual property litigator with over 32 years’ experience advising local and international clients on complex contentious and advisory IP matters, covering trade mark and brand enforcement as well as patent, designs, copyright and related Australian Consumer Law enforcement.
Khajaque regularly represents clients in the Federal Court of Australia in relation to intellectual property litigation including trade marks, patents, designs, copyright, confidential information and related Australian Consumer Law claims. Khajaque has also represented client’s in key Full Federal Court Appeals as well as High Court of Australia appeals. He regularly appears in proceedings before the Trade Marks Office. He is widely recognised for his strategic approach to enforcement and appellate litigation and alternative conflict resolution, including guiding clients through high‑stakes brand disputes as well as for working with clients for effective anti-counterfeiting strategies.
His practice also encompasses IP issues arising in the digital and online environment, and he is noted for a strong track record in domain name dispute resolution.
