With close to three decades of experience, David is an experienced Patent Attorney in our Designs, Engineering and ICT team. David is skilled in aligning patent strategies with corporate objectives, managing global filings, and mitigating IP risks.

Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson, David spent many years working in-house for a global leader in implantable hearing solutions, where he played a key role in protecting innovation in advanced medical devices and related technologies. He has worked extensively with a broad and diverse range of other technologies.

David is also adept at guiding inventors and cross-functional teams to develop high-quality invention disclosures and safeguard competitive advantage. He has been recognised for fostering an IP-conscious culture, strengthening portfolio value, and partnering with external counsel to deliver robust legal protections.
