Overview
Daniel is a Singapore qualified patent attorney with over two decades of experience with technical expertise in materials science, inorganic & organic chemistry, polymers, and environmental technologies.
Daniel holds a Master of Science in Intellectual Property Management and a Graduate Certificate in IP from the National University of Singapore, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He is currently pursuing an LLB. He is an active member of the Association of Singapore Patent Attorneys (ASPA).
Daniel started as a trainee in a European patent attorney firm. After qualifying, he moved into regional in-house patent and IP roles at multinational corporations, including at Infineon, and at 3M where he spent 14+ years, most recently as senior IP counsel for the industrial business group in Asia. Before joining Spruson & Ferguson, he was senior IP counsel at a biofuels producer of sustainable aviation fuels. This combination of private practice and in-house experience enables him to provide commercially grounded patent strategies aligned with business objectives.
